Deer Valley is 6-1 against Cactus since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Deer Valley Skyhawks will take on the Cactus Cobras at 6:00 p.m. Deer Valley will be strutting in after a win while Cactus will be coming in after a loss.

Deer Valley took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Estrella Foothills 5-4. The high-scoring effort was just what the Skyhawks needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Cactus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Peoria.

Deer Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-10. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three contests. As for Cactus, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Deer Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Cactus in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 5-3. Will Deer Valley repeat their success, or does Cactus have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
