Concord and Mt. Diablo are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2022, but not for long. The Bears will head out to face off against the Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Thursday, Concord came up short against Benicia and fell 3-1. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Benicia scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Mt. Diablo beat Miramonte 3-1 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Mt. Diablo, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Concord beat Mt. Diablo 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
