Mountain View has gone 9-1 against Westwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mountain View Toros will look to defend their home pitch against the Westwood Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Mountain View is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Perry on Friday. They lost 5-1 to the Pumas. The Toros have struggled against the Pumas recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Westwood's offense. They came up short against Arizona College Prep on Monday, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Knights are ranked seventh).

Mountain View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-1. As for Westwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8-1 record this season.

Mountain View took their victory against Westwood in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Mountain View repeat their success, or does Westwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
