It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Overton can now relate to. They lost 12-0 to the Collinsville Pirates on Thursday. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Overton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Edwards, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Overton's loss dropped their record down to 31-9. As for Collinsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 25 of their last 26 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-4 record this season.
