Football Recap: Athol Falls to Frontier Regional in First Game of Season

Athol had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Frontier Regional Red Hawks, falling 40-6. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Red Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Brady Poreda had an outrageously good game for Frontier Regional as he rushed for 218 yards on only nine carries.

Athol and Frontier Regional will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Bears see the field they'll take on Murdock on the 19th. As for Frontier Regional, their break will end when they face Franklin County Tech at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
