Covington waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Pine Raiders with a sharp 15-2 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.

Covington pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pine, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Coming up, Covington will head out to square off against Hammond at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Covington will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Pine, they will welcome Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
