Friday just wasn't the day for Research Triangle's offense. They fell 2-0 to Falls Lake on Friday. While losing is never fun, Research Triangle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while Falls Lake are ranked 188th).

Meanwhile, Wake Prep Academy also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Franklin Academy on Wednesday, falling 7-0. The loss continues a trend for Wake Prep Academy in their meetings with Franklin Academy: they've now lost three in a row.

Research Triangle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-1. As for Wake Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1.
