Volleyball Recap: Hilliard Bradley Comes Up Short

Hilliard Bradley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hilliard Darby Panthers. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Hilliard Bradley took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-16, 16-25, 22-25, 25-20, 15-6.

Abby Stenger paced Hilliard Bradley's offense, picking up ten kills. Stenger got some help from Veronica Hess and her 15 assists. Hess was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Hilliard Bradley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hilliard Darby, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilliard Bradley will venture away from home to face off against Grove City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hilliard Darby, they will head out to take on Upper Arlington at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
