The Charleston Math & Science Riptide will challenge the Holly Hill Academy Raiders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Charleston Math & Science can't be to happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Friday. They came up short against Lucy Beckham, falling 12-0. The Riptide have struggled against the Bengals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Holly Hill Academy came up short against Orangeburg Prep on Wednesday and fell 17-13. The loss was the Raiders' first of the season.

Taylor Wright was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Wright was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Holly Hill Academy got a massive performance out of Abby Burleson, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kaley Bell, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
