Volleyball Recap: Cardinal Gibbons Starts Season with Win on the Road

Cardinal Gibbons had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability Spartans 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Southern School of Energy and Sustainability's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Cardinal Gibbons will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on South Garner at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern School of Energy and Sustainability will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cardinal Gibbons at 5:00 p.m. on April 8th.
