Volleyball Recap: Randolph Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Randolph had to endure an 11-match losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Osmond Tigers on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Tigers back in September, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Randolph was led to victory by Alexis Backhaus and Ella Graf. Backhaus had 13 digs and one assist, while Graf had three digs and two aces. What's more, Graf racked up seven assists, the most she's had over her last eight matchups.

Randolph's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-22. As for Osmond, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season.

Randolph will have a chance to go back-to-back against Osmond: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
