St. Charles North came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Lake Park Lancers by a score of 2-0. The North Stars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

St. Charles North easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-16.

Haley Burgdorf paced St. Charles North's offense, picking up nine kills. Burgdorf got some help from Mia McCall and her 20 assists. McCall was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

St. Charles North's victory bumped their record up to 31-3. As for Lake Park, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-23 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Charles North will square off against Downers Grove North at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Park, they will face off against Glenbard South at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
