Lafayette waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Howell Central Spartans get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Lafayette's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Howell Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-12 record this season.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 victory against Webster Groves on the 3rd. As for Howell Central, they will welcome De Smet Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
