Baseball Game Preview: Idaho Falls Tigers vs. Shelley Russets

For the second straight game, Idaho Falls will face off against Shelley. The Tigers will head out to challenge the Russets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Idaho Falls is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since April 25, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Shelley 7-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Anyelo Rodriguez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cooper Cammack was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Tegan Sorenson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Idaho Falls' victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Shelley, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.
