After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Palisades was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Norman Wildcats. The Pumas' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Palisades saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Rowland, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Palisades now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Lake Norman, their victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

Looking ahead, Palisades will take on Ballantyne Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.14 runs per game on average), something the Pumas will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lake Norman, they will challenge South Iredell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Vikings have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
