Baseball Recap: Carman-Ainsworth Comes Up Short

Carman-Ainsworth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 18-1 to the Davison Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cavaliers of the 22-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Carman-Ainsworth saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joe Fletcher, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Fletcher's first of the season.

Carman-Ainsworth's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Davison, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-6-1.

Coming up, Carman-Ainsworth will take on Dow at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Davison, they will square off against Fenton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
