Softball Game Preview: Highland Regional Tartans vs. Triton Mustangs

The Highland Regional Tartans will face off against the Triton Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Highland Regional has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 9.

Monday just wasn't the day for Highland Regional's offense. They came up short against Cumberland on Monday, falling 22-0. Tartans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Colts since on Monday.

Meanwhile, Triton fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Burlington Township on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Highland Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
