Volleyball Recap: Shullsburg's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Shullsburg had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Wisconsin Heights Vanguards by a score of 2-0.

Shullsburg easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15.

McKinley Russell paced Shullsburg's offense, picking up six kills. Russell got some help from Kallie Timmerman and her 17 assists. Timmerman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Shullsburg's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Wisconsin Heights, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

Shullsburg has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Fennimore on the 27th. As for Wisconsin Heights, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Argyle on the 27th.
