Soccer Recap: Brantley County Comes Up Short

Brantley County entered their game against Thomasville on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Brantley County Herons came up short against the Thomasville Bulldogs, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Herons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 54th).

This is the second loss in a row for Brantley County and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Thomasville, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brantley County will take on Berrien at 5:00 p.m. on March 27th. Brantley County is facing Berrien at the right time seeing as Berrien is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Thomasville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Brooks County at 5:00 p.m. on April 1st.
