Soccer Game Preview: Reed-Custer vs. Lisle

Reed-Custer is 0-6 against Lisle since May of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Comets will venture away from home to take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Reed-Custer will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against St. Bede on Wednesday. The Comets never let the Bruins get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. Nicole Trulock was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Lisle earned a 2-0 victory over IC Catholic Prep back in March.

Lisle now has a winning record of 1-0-1. As for Reed-Custer, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Reed-Custer suffered a grim 5-2 defeat to Lisle in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
