Basketball Recap: Blanchard Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

After losing to Cache the last time they met, Blanchard decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Blanchard Lions enjoyed a cozy 45-29 win over the Cache Bulldogs on Friday. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory got Blanchard back to even at 9-9. As for Cache, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Blanchard has already played their next game (against Dickson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cache will be playing in front of their home fans against Bethany at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
