The St. Rita Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the IC Catholic Prep Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Friday, St. Rita blew past St. Patrick, posting a 49-14 victory. With the Mustangs ahead 35-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Brandon Johnson Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 168 yards and four scores on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 29 yards and one touchdown. St. Rita is undefeated when Johnson Jr. posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-4 otherwise.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: St. Rita was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 296 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, IC Catholic Prep waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Lions 49-9. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.
IC Catholic Prep's win came from a few key players St. Rita will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nate Lang, who threw for 236 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 55 yards. Another player making a difference was Quai McGee, who picked up 141 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
IC Catholic Prep's record now sits at 6-2. As for St. Rita, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Everything went St. Rita's way against IC Catholic Prep in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as St. Rita made off with a 42-20 victory. In that matchup, the Mustangs amassed a halftime lead of 28-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
