Basketball Game Preview: Sierra Lutheran Falcons vs. Pershing County Mustangs

The Sierra Lutheran Falcons and the Pershing County Mustangs will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Sierra Lutheran had to suffer through a 71-44 loss at the hands of Smith Valley. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Pershing County blew past Oasis Academy, posting a 60-20 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 23 points or more this season.

Pershing County's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Sierra Lutheran, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Sierra Lutheran came up short against Pershing County when the teams last played back in January, falling 51-46. Can Sierra Lutheran avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
