Softball Recap: Monrovia Takes a Loss

Monrovia came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to the Duarte Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Monrovia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Delgado, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Monrovia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Duarte, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Monrovia Wildcats duke it out with South Pasadena Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monrovia's pitchers better be ready for this one: South Pasadena has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Duarte, they will head out on the road to challenge Garey at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
