On Saturday, the Christ the King Cathedral Golden Lions had just enough and edged the San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots out 48-46. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Lions.

Despite the loss, San Jacinto Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Benton Myers, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 12 points. Those 12 points gave Myers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Kinser, who posted ten points.

Christ the King Cathedral's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for San Jacinto Christian Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

Christ the King Cathedral didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-35 defeat against Southcrest Christian on the 14th. San Jacinto Christian Academy has also already played their next matchup, a 64-40 loss against Ascension Academy on the 14th.
