Basketball Recap: Glencoe-Silver Lake Takes a Loss

If Glencoe-Silver Lake was feeling good fresh off their 84-51 takedown of Sibley East last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers fell to the St. Peter Saints 87-83. The Panthers lost against the Saints in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 88-58 score last time.

Glencoe-Silver Lake's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Peter, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Glencoe-Silver Lake Panthers challenge the Belle Plaine Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Peter, they will head out on the road to take on New Prague at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Peter is facing New Prague at the right time seeing as New Prague is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
