Softball Recap: Braintree Takes a Loss

Braintree was the 12-8 winner over Weymouth when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Wamps came up short against the Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 7-1. The contest marked the Wamps' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Braintree's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Weymouth, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Braintree will be playing at home against Oliver Ames at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Weymouth, they will head out on the road to challenge Milton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
