Mountain View and Fabens are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2023, but likely not for long. The Lobos will venture away from home to square off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Meanwhile, Fabens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 21-2 to San Elizario. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Fabens' loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.

Mountain View took their victory against Fabens when the teams last played on Wednesday by a conclusive 16-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lobos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
