Laconia came tearing into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Deerfield Demons. Considering the Spartans have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Laconia's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Deerfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-8-1 record this season.

Laconia has already played their next matchup (against Winneconne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Deerfield, they will square off against Williams Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
