Soccer Game Preview: Glendale vs. Buckeye

The Glendale Cardinals will square off against the Buckeye Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Glendale fell victim to Desert Edge and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Scorpions. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Buckeye put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand West Point a 1-0 shutout. The Hawks' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Savannah Hunter, who's now up to two this season.

Buckeye's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Glendale, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Glendale skirted past Buckeye 2-1 in their previous matchup back in January. Will Glendale repeat their success, or does Buckeye have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
