Recap: Cohasset Skippers vs. Mashpee Falcons

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cohasset Skippers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 35-8 win over Mashpee at home. The win was nothing new for Cohasset as they're now sitting on four straight.

Leading Cohasset to victory were Liam Appleton and Michael Wildfire. Appleton gained 100 total yards and three touchdowns, while Wildfire threw for 152 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes.

Cohasset's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points per game. As for Mashpee, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Cohasset will face off against Amesbury at TBD on Friday. Amesbury is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Mashpee will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Sandwich at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Sandwich will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
