North River Christian picks up fifth straight win at home

Recap: North River Christian Chargers vs. Coosa Valley Academy Rebels
The North River Christian Chargers entered their tilt with the Coosa Valley Academy Rebels with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. North River Christian rang in the new year with a 49-38 victory over Coosa Valley Academy on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North River Christian also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Halle Burch continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. She also posted eight assists for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Champion, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
North River Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. As for Coosa Valley Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.
North River Christian will head out on the road to face off against Heritage Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coosa Valley Academy, they will be playing at home against Evangel Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
