Volleyball Recap: Heritage Comes Up Short

Heritage lost against Centennial back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Coyotes took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.

Heritage started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-7, 25-15.

Ryleigh Montgomery paced Heritage's offense, picking up ten kills. Montgomery were helped by Emree Reinhardt and Cambry Hodgson, who contributed 15 assists each. Skylar Leonard controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Heritage's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-16. As for Centennial, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-8.

Heritage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Independence on the 27th. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
