Basketball Recap: Faith Longhorns vs. New Underwood Tigers
Faith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 75-32 loss at the hands of the New Underwood Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-41 back in January.
New Underwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Enos out in front who went 6-for-9 on his way to 13 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. That's the most rebounds Enos has posted since back in December of 2024. Zeke Enos was another key player, going 6-for-13 to rack up 17 points and six boards.
Faith's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for New Underwood, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith will square off against Belle Fourche at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Underwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jones County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Underwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61 points per game this season.
