Baseball Recap: Holliday Has No Trouble Against City View

Holliday not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1st. Everything went their way against the City View Mustangs as Holliday made off with a 14-4 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Steele Skinner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Kason Poston also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Holliday was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Holliday is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. City View's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.

Coincidentally, Holliday and City View will both be playing Vernon the next time they take the field. City View will head out to face Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Holliday will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on April 8.
