Volleyball Recap: Glendale Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Rachel Mcclellan and Olivia Frank

Glendale came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Northern Cambria Colts. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered since September 20th.

Glendale was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 27-25, 25-11.

Glendale's loss came despite strong showings from Olivia Frank and Rachel McClellan. Frank had 13 digs and ten kills, while McClellan had 20 kills and five digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Matish, who had 14 assists and four digs.

Glendale dropped their record down to 11-11-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Northern Cambria, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7-1.

Coming up, Glendale will welcome Williamsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northern Cambria, they are taking a road trip to take on Conemaugh Township at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
