Football Recap: Montville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Montville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Stonington Bears, falling 49-8. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 58-20 to the Bears when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Montville's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Stonington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Montville will take on rival Bacon Academy/Lyman Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Stonington is set to challenge their familiar foe Plainfield at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bears 13.8, the Panthers 13.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
