 The Newport - Bellevue Knights will be playing at home against the Bothell Cougars at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Newport - Bellevue will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak  dating back to last season alive.
 On Wednesday, Newport - Bellevue beat Inglemoor by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  6-1.
  Stephen Herr spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Jace Rainey was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Yuma Noda, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Bothell came up short against Eastlake on Wednesday and fell  8-5. Bothell has struggled against Eastlake recently, as their  contest on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
  Blake Skinner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Newport - Bellevue's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Bothell, their loss  ended  a  six-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-6.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Friday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Newport - Bellevue has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 6.9  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bothell struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.3. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Newport - Bellevue took their  win against Bothell  in their previous matchup  back in March by a conclusive  11-5. Will Newport - Bellevue repeat their success,  or does  Bothell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
