Baseball Recap: Columbus East Comes Up Short

Columbus East lost against Scottsburg back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Olympians fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 4-2.

Ryker Stott was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, Eli Tindell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Columbus East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbus East will host Floyd Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. This will be the Olympians' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Scottsburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lanesville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
