Volleyball Recap: Peyton Zdroik Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Rosholt

Pacelli won the last time they faced Rosholt and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cardinals came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 3-1.

Pacelli had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.

Pacelli's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Peyton Zdroik, who had 20 digs and two aces. Those 20 digs gave Zdroik a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Marschke, who had 21 digs and two assists.

Pacelli's win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 8-11. As for Rosholt, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-8.

Pacelli has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Two Rivers on the 27th. As for Rosholt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Spencer on the 27th.
