Fort Walton Beach had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Eau Gallie Commodores on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Rilyn Douglas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Anna Beyhl was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Kelsie Hearne was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Fort Walton Beach hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eau Gallie struck out six times.

Fort Walton Beach's win bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Eau Gallie, with the loss, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-7.

As of now, neither Fort Walton Beach nor the Commodores have any future games scheduled.
