Basketball Recap: Salmon Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. John Bosco Academy last Saturday, Salmon came back down to earth. The Salmon Savages fell 52-41 to the Ririe Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Savages have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Salmon still got an impressive performance from Broc Matthews, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.

Salmon's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Ririe, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salmon will take on Butte County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ririe, they will face off against Teton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
