Basketball Game Preview: Commerce Tigers vs. Stephens County Indians + Official Tickets

Commerce has gone a perfect 3-0 against Stephens County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Indians at 6:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Stephens County will be up against a hot Commerce team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Commerce claimed a resounding 57-29 win over Washington-Wilkes. While Commerce didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Commerce found their leader in freshman Niya Daniels, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, Daniels is now averaging an impressive 8.5 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Mary Waters, who posted seven points and three steals.

Commerce smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Stephens County beat Forsyth Central 67-54 on Tuesday.

Commerce's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Stephens County, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Commerce barely slipped by Stephens County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 47-46. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
