Basketball Recap: Zion Mcfadden Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bowie

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Whitewright, Boles was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bowie Pirates as the Boles Hornets made off with a 60-40 win. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Boles' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zion Mcfadden led the charge by going 8 of 18 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Layton Morgan, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 20 points.

Boles smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Boles is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Bowie, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-5.
