Softball Recap: Park City Gets the Win

Park City took a 20-run loss the last time they faced off against Jordan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Park City came out on top in a nail-biter against Jordan on Friday, sneaking past 7-6. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Miners as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Park City got a big performance out of Madeline Reddy, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, Reddy posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Erica Levy also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Park City's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Jordan, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Park City will challenge Skyline at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Park City's pitchers better be ready for this one: Skyline has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Jordan, they will face off against Cottonwood at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
