Football Recap: Davenport West Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Davenport West's offense. They were outmatched by the Davenport North Wildcats and fell 47-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Wildcats are ranked 108th).

Davenport West's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Davenport North, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Davenport West will head out to challenge Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the River Kings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Davenport North, they will venture away from home to face off against North Scott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
