Football Recap: Valentine vs. Gibbon Buffaloes        
        
		
             Valentine can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game  on Friday. They took down the Gibbon Buffaloes 22-6.
 Valentine found their leader in underclassman  Parker Chavez, who rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns.  Trace Buechle handled things on the ground, rushing for 82 yards.
 Valentine's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of  Trystan Beebout and  Cinch Miller. Miller is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made five or more in the last nine games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Valentine was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 256  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since  was before  the start of last season.
 Valentine's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Gibbon, they now also have a losing record at 1-2.
 Valentine will be playing in front of their home fans against Centura  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Hopefully Valentine focused on turnovers this week  as team gave up four on Friday. As for Gibbon, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Gordon-Rushville  on Friday. Gibbon is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
