Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 1-0 to the Phoebus Phantoms, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phantoms this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Tuesday.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Phoebus, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-4.

Heritage will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodside at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th. The Wolverines have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.57 runs per game on average), something the Hurricanes will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Phoebus, they will face off against King's Fork at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
