Soccer Recap: Grove Takes a Loss

Grove lost against Catoosa back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ridgerunners came up short against the Indians, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Catoosa are ranked 14th).

Grove's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Catoosa, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Coming up, Grove will face off against Miami at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Grove are facing Miami at the right time seeing as Miami are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Catoosa, they will challenge Oklahoma Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oklahoma Christian's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Catoosa's offense will have their work cut out for them.
