Recap: Elk Grove Thundering Herd vs. Jesuit Marauders

The Elk Grove Thundering Herd's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 69-47 walloping at the hands of Jesuit. The match was a close 30-28 at the break, but unfortunately for Elk Grove it sure didn't stay that way.

Despite the loss, Elk Grove still got an impressive performance from MJ Bhatia, who scored ten points. Vinny Gonzales was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Elk Grove's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12. As for Jesuit, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elk Grove will take on Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Elk Grove likes a good challenge. As for Jesuit, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pleasant Grove at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Pleasant Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Wednesday.
